I’d upvote this one twice if I could. It tells the story of the opiate crisis in small town / rural America without being preachy about it. The beauty and the heartache is visceral.
It should be noted the Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, and Chris Stapleton are all from the same area in Eastern Kentucky.

Do the "OurVinyl Sessions" version of this song where it is just him with an acoustic guitar. Tyler is from the Appalachian mountains section of Eastern Kentucky. The main industry of this area is coal mining. Most of the people live in extreme poverty and alcoholism and drug abuse are rampant. Tyler sings from a place of experience. You can hear his life's struggles in his voice. He is definitely one of a kind.
