The video is great, and it adds a lot of context. BUT, that also means you miss some of the lyrics while they are talking. If you choose to react to the video, I would have the lyrics pulled up next to it so you can follow along and fill in the gaps.

Please, Please, Please....make sure you do the OFFICIAL VIDEO 1st...I repeat, do the official video 1st...you will be lost if you just listen to the song on your 1st time around. Please trust me, the video will explain everything.
I can honestly say Reba is one of my all time favorite country women singers. So much so I have seen her at lest 5 times and she is a natural performer. She always give a great performance and is funny. The Night the Lights went out in Georgia was one of the first song of hers I played on guitar; Fancy also. She also did a song called She thinks his name was John that was ahead of her time. In the 90’s or early 00’s her whole band was in a plane crash and passed away. It was so sad. I think she doesn’t play certain songs to often because they remind her of them.

This is a great song and story. But if you watch the extended video I feel like you miss the "punch" of just hearing the story. So find a lyric or audio only version first. Or better yet listen to the original by Vicki Lawrence earlier without the theatrics Reba gave it.

Not the official video though. Do a lyric or live version, then official video. The video gets in the way of the song in my opinion.
