Chris Ledoux was a true cowboy and musician. In 1967 he won the Wyoming High School bareback riding championship. He followed that with the 1969 National college championship in Bareback riding. He also won the 1976 PRCA World Championship in Bareback riding. Inducted into the Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of fame in 2003 and the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2006. He started recording music independently in 1972 while still riding in rodeos. He released 36 albums his career most released on his own label. He was an influence on Garth Brooks and was mentioned by Garth in his song "Much Too Young.
