The brilliant Jim Croce, taken from us too soon

Hello Seb. I realize I'm still a freeloader but I promise once the cancer is gone from the White House and I can afford more than food and bills I'll rectify that. I've watched a ton of reaction videos but I have always been impressed with your frame of mind. I'd like to see what you think of a singer/songwriter who got me through my heartbreaks of youth Jim Croce was a brilliant writer and singer who died in a plane crash the day after I enlisted in the Army. I would especially like to see you hear these beautiful songs with your lovely wife. Be sure to have plenty of Kleenex handy. You'll thank me for this. Love your channel and your gentle spirit.

Losing Jim so early was a tragedy. One listen to "Photographs and Memories", or "New York's Not My Home" as well as his hilarious "You Don't Mess Around with Jim" ("meaner than a junk yard") and "Leroy Brown" ("Leroy looked like a jigsaw puzzle with a couple a pieces gone") proves he had so much more to give. It's been 40 years and I still listen to him (I just did this morning) and miss his genius! You WILL laugh and you WILL cry, guaranteed! I hope to see Sebs take on who I feel is a national treasure!

My two favorites of his are Operator and Time in a Bottle. Worthwhile music even if it is a personal listen

I couldn't agree more Natalie. Each and every song is a masterclass in poetry. "Photographs and Memories" can still bring tears to my eyes. My wife loved him as well and now that she's gone some of his songs that I used to sing to her bring me both smiles and tears. I'd really like to see Seb and his wife listen together.

Absolutely! You can't go wrong with JC. I personally love Time in a Bottle best but ANY song by him is worth listening to. Often.
